Who we are
Libbi is a mobile app that lets expectant and new parents record audio from ultrasound appointments and use a curated sound library to help their baby sleep. The app is published by Omri Cohen ("we", "us", "our"). You can reach us at hello@libbibaby.com.
What data we collect

Data collected automatically (cloud features only)
If you create an account and enable cloud backup (a Premium feature), your recordings and baby profile metadata are synced to Firebase Firestore and Cloud Storage under your user ID. Standard Firebase server logs (IP addresses, request timestamps) are retained per Google's default Firebase retention settings (typically 90 days).
Data we do not collect
- We do not collect advertising IDs.
- We do not use third-party analytics SDKs or embed tracking pixels.
- We do not record video. Audio recording uses your device microphone only.
- We do not read your contacts, calendar, location, or any other sensor.
- We do not collect data from your baby. The app is designed for adults; see Children's Privacy below.
How we use your data
- To operate the app — play back recordings, organize them by baby, run the sound library, mixer, and sleep timer.
- To sync across devices (Premium only) — if you opt in, we copy your data to Firebase so you can restore it on a new phone or access it on multiple devices.
- To manage your subscription — RevenueCat processes your purchase through Apple App Store or Google Play and tells us whether your subscription is active. We never see your payment card details.
- To fulfill account deletion requests — when you delete your account, we run a Cloud Function that removes all your data from Firebase Firestore and Cloud Storage within 30 days.
Where your data is stored
Local-only (Free tier and all users by default)
Recordings and baby profiles live exclusively in your device's app sandbox. These files are included in standard iOS iCloud / iTunes device backups unless you exclude the app in your iOS settings. We do not control iCloud backups — that is Apple's infrastructure.
Cloud (Premium, opt-in only)
If you enable cloud backup, your data is stored in Google Firebase:
- Firebase Firestore — recording metadata (labels, durations, trim points, created dates)
- Firebase Cloud Storage — raw

Google encrypts data at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.2+). Firebase data is stored in
the us-central1 region by default.

Sharing your recordings (Premium)
If you use the Share feature, we generate a public URL for a single recording. The audio file is copied to a publicly accessible Cloud Storage path. Anyone with the link can play the recording in a browser — no account required. We do not add tracking to share link pages.
You can revoke a share link at any time from the recording's menu. Revocation deletes the public copy from Cloud Storage immediately; CDN caches may retain the file for up to 24 hours after revocation.
Children's privacy
Libbi is designed for use by adults (parents and caregivers). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. The app includes an age confirmation on sign-up.
If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child under 13, please contact us at hello@libbibaby.com and we will delete it promptly.
Your rights and choices

Data retention
- Local data: retained until you delete it or uninstall the app.
- Cloud data: retained until you delete your account. After account deletion, all cloud data is purged within 30 days.
- Firebase server logs: retained per Google's standard Firebase log retention (typically 90 days).
- RevenueCat purchase records: retained per RevenueCat's policy (typically 90 days after subscription ends).
Security
We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data:
- Local recordings are stored in the app sandbox with iOS/Android platform-enforced file-level encryption.
- Cloud data uses AES-256 at-rest encryption and TLS 1.2+ in transit (Firebase defaults).
- Firebase Security Rules restrict read/write access to authenticated users' own documents only.
No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We will post any changes on this page and update the effective date. For material changes, we will notify you via an in-app alert. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
